    When we got the order home, the pizza we ordered came with fewer than the requested items, but had flavor.

    The disturbing issue was one of the dough rollers in the back of the shop (a tall thin young person) scratched his underarm three times and continued to handle and roll the dough. The other bearded and ponytailed employee saw and ignored this action. Fortunately, our pizza was in the oven and wasn't toughed by this guy.

    Spending time in the Pikes Peak region a couple of times per year, we decided to try the little pizza shop near City Market in Woodland Park.  The Garlic Butter bread knots were terrific, probably my favorite pizzeria appetizer of all time!  GARLIC BUTTER...how can anything with both be anything but awesome???  The pizza we ordered was also excellent.  Real mozzarella cheese, tangy with sweet tomato sauce, and generous portions of toppings.  The crust was similar to the garlic knots, absolutely delicious.  AJ's Pizza is on par with Savelli's in Manitou.  Unsure if AJ's has calzones so I will need to check it out next time in the area.  AJ's prices were quite reasonable.

    This place is really something special, probably the best pizza I have eaten in recent memory. The crust is perfect, and the ingredients are fresh and tasty. We got the Jalapeño Poppers, 12" White Combination, 12" Classic, and a cheese and black olive pizza for the kids. I've had pizza in places all over the US, including midtown Manhattan and Chicago, but who would have thought I'd be filling a top slot from a small town in Colorado?

    The pizza was great I'm going to try the thin crust next time stone over pizza is the absolute best!
